I have a four-year-old that has a late summer birthday. He is in preschool now and he'll go to pre-K next year. He will be a young six instead of a young five when he starts kindergarten. After doing a good bit of research on the topic and talking to other educators and lifelong kindergarten teachers, I'm confident that I'm making the right decision for my son. He is very bright, but I'm not concerned about him being bored. He is the oldest in his class, but there are a bunch of other boys that are turning four just a few months after him. I think there is no right or wrong answer. Everyone needs to make the decision they think will be best for their child. <br>Suzy Nice article Kristen.
